VOLUNTEERS PROGRAM

DETAILS OF THIS PROGRAM

Although the original idea was to provide health care services to women and children, the facility now provides several services including volunteer/internship placement. SEDHEC organises volunteer/internship placements allowing people from within and the rest of the world to come and share professional experience as well as familiarising themselves with what Churchill referred to as The Pear of Africa. "The kingdom of Uganda is a fairy-tale. You climb up and at the end there is a wonderful new world. The scenery is different, the vegetation is different, the climate is different, and, most of all, the people are different from anything elsewhere to be seen in the whole range of Africa ... I say: for magnificence, for variety of form and color, for profusion of brilliant life-bird, insect, reptile, beast - for vast scale -- "Uganda is truly the pearl of Africa" Churchill - British Prime Minister.

OPPORTUNITIES

Besides being hosted at St. Edwards, you can also be placed in any project of our choice within Uganda. Current projects include education, health, social and cultural projects.
