ST EDWARD's HEALTH CENTER
St. Edward Health Centre (SEDHEC) is a Community Based Development Organisation located at Katwe- Katente Nkokonjeru Catholic Parish, Nakisunga Sub County (Mukono District) providing health care and support services to the disadvantaged rural communities of Nakisunga Sub County in Mukono District.
St. Edward Health Centre is registered with the Ministry of Health (MoH) with a registration number MoH5034 and we also report to the District thus contributing to the national figures.
It is further registered as a Community Based Development Organisation by the Ministry of Gender, Labour and social Development Mukono District with a registration number MG/2010/11/13109
Our History
It was founded by a Catholic Priest then, working with Lubaga Cathedral Parish in Kampala Archdiocese in 2010. SEDHEC aims at providing maternal health care services to women who were travelling long distances to access maternal and child health care services yet in general, they were often unable to obtain relief. This was because neither the individuals themselves nor their local health systems could afford to provide medicines at lower costs. Inspired by the suffering of his local community and driven by love, with support from Christians of St. Edward's Parish, California, USA, Fr. Achilles Mayanja, started this Health Centre to bridge this unmet need

To provide handy antenatal services to all pregnant women as well as health information to women of reproductive age within the Sub County
